Exciting new magazine champions school build programme

The Market

Never before has a government investment programme generated so many opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers.

The far-reaching vision for education involves the modernisation of thousands of secondary schools along with primary schools and colleges of further education.

The new buildings will be inspiring, innovative and adaptable, and will incorporate the best materials and equipment. education design & build magazine provides the ideal showcase for this technology. The new journal will be read by local authorities, architects, school leaders, government departments, associations and client design advisors responsible for the very latest projects.

The single most important business opportunity for 2009

In the next three years, the government will invest £9.3 billion in Building Schools for the Future. Over 1,000 BSF building projects across 80 local authorities are now underway.

...and now for the really GOOD NEWS for suppliers

The Government is accelerating close to £800 million of capital investment by 12 months to enable hundreds of school modernisation projects to start in 2009. This investment adds to the £7 billion already being pumped into the school estate this year and means that many small-scale refurbishments can be brought forward. Furthermore, the EU has recently announced a funding package of £300m in its support for the BSF programme.
